Eliot Page; a positive example of masculinity?

I shared this news story in a group whatsapp and my year 8 daughter just told me that the same thing happened in her assembly recently.

I mean, this is batshit insanity and totally goes against what the Cass review states.

It’s out and out grooming. Clearly Page is an example of something other than positivity, whenever I see them being interviewed , they seem deeply depressed and miserable.

Are any of the boys in her school going to see Page as a man? Are any of the girls going to see it and wonder if their clothes choices and hairstyle mean they’re also a man? Why are schools still pumping out this unhealthy rhetoric for young teens? It’s insane.

School uses trans actor Elliot Page as positive example of masculinity

The actor, who now identifies as a man after medically transitioning with cross-sex hormones and surgery, featured in a lesson about how masculinity can take multiple forms.

If you wanted an example of a famous person who's an unconventional example of masculinity, you could do worse than Steve Buscemi. Before he was an actor he was a firefighter. He was filming in NYC on 9/11, dropped everything and went to his old station to help out with the rescue effort. And he's so modest that story didn't come out until years later.

At last something women are better than men at! 🙄

LesbianNana · 24/07/2025 11:51

I just read a comment about this that said ‘Are they trying to force 12 year olds into the arms of Andrew Tate?’ It’s true! They need to stop trying to force this down children’s throats and give them realistic goals to achieve.

totally agree, love him!

The school appears to have no male teachers, and only a couple of male support staff. I wonder if the head teacher has thought of addressing that.

Harry Styles? He recently had a very public affair with a married woman, which subsequently broke up their marriage. (Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis.) He flys through relationships. Are they teaching them that committed relationships are to be shunned?

Eliot Page does not seem stable at all and is not a man!

Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but they couldn’t find a firefighter who is a family man and volunteers at an animal shelter? Young boys are just not going to relate to two rich movie stars, especially Eliot Page and Harry Styles.

Edited

A) She wasn't married and b) they were no longer together - unless you believe everything that Ted Lasso says.
Sorry, I had to listen to my friend going on about this at the time, she was outraged at the coverage 😂

Rallentanda · 30/07/2025 15:42

I feel like I have quite a few non-toxic yet masculine men in my circle, can't really think of a famous one without feeling that you only see one side to them (which is fair enough).

Chersfrozenface · 02/07/2026 12:47

I can't see that much difference between Elliot Page's musculature and that of Jade Jones, multiple medal winner in taekwondo.

Any difference will be no doubt due to the fact that Elliot Page takes testosterone. Which Jade Jones, as an athlete taking part in competitions, wouldn't have done.

She’s going to find it tough to find other tiny boxers if she gets competitive.

Still doesn’t look well or happy.

I agree. Men can wear pearls, makeup, pink and still be, shock horror,
men!
This is something Boy George used to know.

Boy George is most definitely not a good role model for boys!

There should be a crime of gender gaslighting of children as part of the ‘Conversion’ practices bill. That’s what this is. Proto-conversion.

There are kind, gentle actual males. There are firefighting, black-belt judo type tough guys who are kind and gentle males too. There are gender non conforming males also. All those are real examples.

This was not an example of a man.

ByTheRiverside · 02/07/2026 14:33

I wonder if she will ever realise that you don't have to be a man to do any of these things. She's only proving the point of feminism which is that women are also able to do all the same things as men. She's doing it by appearing non-conventional, getting ill-advised surgeries, taking dangerous drugs, playing combat sports where men will no doubt cause her injury, and making terrible decisions. But after all, we fought so women like her can do these things! The only thing she's gotten wrong is she's not a man!

JohnsShirt · 02/07/2026 14:42

She looks like she's had those weird abs implant things.

Chersfrozenface · 02/07/2026 14:53

JohnsShirt · 02/07/2026 14:42

She looks like she's had those weird abs implant things.

Maybe she has. She has had a double mastectomy, after all.

And she has posted photos of scars on her forearm claiming they are from wearing leather armguards for a film, but the location (inner forearm) and size are exactly those of a radial forearm free flap procedure used for phalloplasty.

(I know people who do reenactment and LARP, and bracers don't cause damage like that.)

JohnsShirt · 02/07/2026 15:12

Oh lord, so much mutilation.

Portakalkedi · 02/07/2026 15:23

The description is wrong as this person is surely a biological female. Not sure there's much else to say.

Toseland · 02/07/2026 16:45

Who is paying this person to promote all this crap? How is it being shown to boys in British schools?!

lcakethereforeIam · 02/07/2026 16:47

CurlewKate · 02/07/2026 13:36

Boy George is most definitely not a good role model for boys!

He's stuck up for Jewish people recently.

It hurts to say this but Codger George isn't 100% a bad person. Perhaps 95% tops. I agree he should be nobody's idea of a good role model.

they were married to a woman and talking about how blissfully happy they were. Then they announced transition and divorce almost at the same time and have appeared deeply unhappy ever since.

They?

Good call. I would say that being a firefighter is conventional masculinity, except that there are female firefighters. Jonny Lee Miller is a fully trained volunteer firefighter in New York

Screamingabdabz · 02/07/2026 18:21

They’d have been better to get some of the dads in to talk about their jobs and hobbies. I volunteered on a school trip once (as a parent) and the other one was a dad - a tall fireman. The children were all over him - boys and girls. Just having him in the room was like a some magic alchemy. They loved the fact that there was a nice, unassuming, slightly awkward bloke in their midst.

The TM example is not a good role model and I’d be writing a polite complaint to the school asking what the rationale is, and whether they had read updated DfE guidance on not promoting political views.

Page is about 5'1" so no matter how buff they'll always seem slightly boyish. Bit hollow eyed here. Which is euphoria according to Esquire

https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/tv/a40011366/elliot-page-umbrella-academy-euphoria/

What do you think the eyes of a 39 year old should look like?

You've been suckered in by a fake, I'm afraid, there are posts circulating on social media showing a picture of arm in leather armguards alongside an image of an arm with a phalloplasty scar in the same location claiming that Page shared the image, however neither image was ever posted by Page and there is no evidence either arm belongs to him. Look on any of Page's official sites and you will see no such image shared, nor will you find any source for the image apart from rather obvious bot or troll accounts on X.
