They haven't got a clue, have they? I wonder if Phillipson and the rest of them have ever sat down and thought about the sort of world they are bringing about (or trying to). Don't they realise that you you can't keep handing out titbits to the GI monster, it just grows bigger and stronger?

You're assuming they don't know that, what if they do because they are the GI monster.

I don't think they are that invested, it just works for their careers. Not that it matters much either way.

I dunno, moto. Certainly part of that but I suspect personal reason - transed kids mostly, I should think; spot of AGP for some maybe.

Thought it might be useful to post here.

(From the Draft Code of Practice on Services thread re Nadia Whittcombe's recent comment on the Guidelines):

No mention of the fact that trans terror group Bash Back have recently called her "pathetic" for supporting the conversion therapy bill.

Not sure if this has been posted here yet as it came out a couple of days ago. Discussion with Helen Joyce with Dennis Kavanagh is extremely thought provoking, and concerning. One of the conclusions is that this bill, by placing this issue within the criminal law, is trying to shut down debate and negate the effects of the Forstater judgement and FWS.

In his new piece for The Spectator, John Armstrong highlights a startling fact: the UK government’s impact assessment for its proposed Conversion Practices Bill relies on survey data claiming 1 in 10 LGBTQ+ people have experienced an exorcism.

Is the conversion therapy bill really worth £783 million?

The Cabinet Office has published its impact assessment of the government bill to ban conversion practices – acts which attempt to change someone’s sexuality or ‘gender identity’.

It is easy to see how private prosecutions could be used vexatiously to target and threaten parents, individuals, clinicians and employers who do not abide by the tenets of gender ideology.

Yep. If this went through, you would have to be insane to take any client with a TQ identity. There would be no safe way to do it.

The bill will also be undoubtedly used to try and prevent people expressing and acting on their protected belief that sex matters in society and law, and that men who identify as women do not have the right to demand to be treated as women in a way that undermines women’s privacy, dignity and safety by eroding their hard-won access to single-sex facilities, services and sports. That a significant number of ministers and MPs could be gullible enough to fall for this ruse tells us a lot about the current quality of law-making and scrutiny.

That. ^^

Blake is full on this bill.

Going to be interesting to see the fall out as it means potentially arresting religious, biology knowing and biology denying parents,

Wishesandhorses · Today 08:40

If they do force this through, then Kemi can put on the manifesto to roll it back again as soon as Labour come out of power. Along with sorting out the waste of time and space EDI'ing and vexatiously litigating in the Civil Service and everywhere else. This bill will go down with the electorate like a bucket of cold sick once parents start being prosecuted and it hits the papers.

So parents who decide their son is a girl because he likes playing with dolls, and then convince him he actually is a girl, can be arrested? They can start with the parents of that poor child Baroness Cass talked about in the HoL debate recently.
