Is this racism?

Basically I was at the pub in the pub and nobody was behind the bar.

I was first in line.

An elderly couple come and and then another man who slams his glass down.

When the bar lady asks "who is first"? I replied me.

The elderly couple say "we have been waiting ages".

And the man next says "I didn't see her".

I felt this was due to me being mixed race.
I felt quite intimidated.

I only popped in for a drink whilst OH has the kids.

I feel any shaken up as the only ethnic person in the place.

He may have been a racist, ageist, sexist or just a downright nasty person, the latter is probably true, there are so many ignorant folks about. I'm a quiet person and hate ordering at the bar because I will often get people pushing in! We can't read the man's thoughts at the time so nobody can conclude his behaviour stemmed from racism, but he was definitely rude.

@MissBeans83

Even if it happened as she said the likelihood is that there were no racist motives!

Your attack on me should be reported by the way. But I suspect you are merely an agitator with no real comprehension skills.

And you are angry that your racism is being challenged.

How am I racist now????

You hate anyone countering with rational explanations of what happened.
Older couple might have been waiting longer but OP didn’t see them, or they might have been entitled chancers who were local to that wetherspoons and thought they should be served first.
Poor bloke who slammed down his glass just having a bad day
Just because these two things happened and OP is mixed race doesn’t make it racist

Just because I point out other valid reasons for the behaviour of these Wetherspoons folk doesn’t make me racist

But I agree it’s a good way to shut down an argument

How weird. A racist incident happens and you are so far in denial, you accuse her of lying.

Does she have to have the N word used against her for you to authorise her complaint?

You are beyond arrogant. 🙄

Blame the victim too for being raped do you? As the two mentalities are usually cut from the one cloth

This answer depresses me . I really hope you are not in any position of power now or in the future.

Poor bloke slamming down his glass after a bad day? Thanks for teleporting me back to 1950s menfolk, where women have to put up with that.

You are racist because you discounted her experience and told her in clear terms she is lying, and that is regardless of the fact that it may or may not have been a racist incident.

Yet perhaps, the penny will drop that a person who invalidates somebody who falls prey to racism and calls them a liar, is racist themselves.

One of those are you that skips through threads? And doesn't quite understand flow of context?

Oh ok.

Are you saying that people of colour never, ever exaggerate, misinterpret, misconstrue or lie about a situation when they claim racism?

More racist bile. We shall park that one up with your "white people will become the minority"

What's next?😁

You can’t answer my question, can you?

Because if you say yes, I will give you examples where this has happened.

If you say no, that will contradict your mantra that we must never “invalidate” a person of colour when they say they have experienced a racist incident.

So you resort to name-calling and insults instead.

I don't need to answer you to validate any confusion you may have.

You demonstrated who you are and your fact-aversion statements such as white people becoming the minority, only served to make you out to lack critical thinking skills.

I can't comment on the racism as it is really how you feel. However from my perspective [lone white female going to the bar] it seems more like entitled ageism or misogyny.
