TTC on Clomid anyone?

We have started Clomid this month due to secondary infertility. I've had all the side effects (hot flushes, anxiety, cramps, bloating, fatigue) and am happy to finally be on 1dpo!

I'm putting a lot of hope into this cycle so I'm nervous I'm going to be very left down if/when AF arrives in a couple of weeks. :/

Anyone else in a similar boat?

My secondary infertility clomid twins are now nearly 17 ... (!). Good luck. (They were my third cycle with clomid, though.)

Oh my gosh, twins!!! I can't decide if I'd feel elated or panicked :D

It was when I went for my six week scan and they confirmed there were two heartbeats, and then asked me to come back the following week to check there wasn't a third one hiding in there that I nearly lost the plot! (There wasn't. Phew.) Waiting sucks. Hope it works for you. :)

There are a few reality shows on TLC about families with multiples. One of them, about the Busby family, have sextuplets conceived on Clomid!

I have a clomid baby too, OP. Actually conceived one month after my seven cycles of clomid had ended, so it stays in your system for a while.

I’ve done 2 cycles of 50mg
now on a break as I was getting awful thrush,
going to start back again at end of July on 100mg

Oh. Sorry hear that @Pinkponyclub26I didn't know that was a side effect, but I have heard that it can dry up cervical mucus.

I'm on month 4 of 50mg. First month having a trigger shot on Friday. Supposed to have ovulated 36 hours or so after that but I'm not sure that it wasnt two days after.
5dpo now roughly, but could be less..

I didn’t either until the second month I got it and I’ve not had it in years- I had a look online and many suffer with thrush due to PH changes etc
it definitely helped me ovulate and felt really strong too so I plan to start again next month and stock up on canesten

@Pinkponyclub26 I second the 'strong' ovulation, I had SUCH intense cramps and bloating, I told DH it felt like a half dozen eggs were popping out!

Oh that is interesting about the trigger, I wasn't offered this. Did they do another scan to confirm ovulation? I am not sure how it works.

I fell pregnant after 3 cycles and she is now 22.
I then fell pregnant on cycle 5 when ttc our second child, but that ended in miscarriage. I then had a break of 6 months and then took cycle 6. I fell pregnant and she is now 19!
We had been ttc naturally for 4 years when I first started Clomid, so it happened quite quickly. Fingers crossed for you xx

@UnderThePressureThat is amazing. I've heard it usually works within 3 cycles if it works, although I've also seen people falling on their 4th or 5th cycle.

I only have enough for 4 months... but hoping I don't need to worry about this!

How are we all doing? I'm about 5dpo and have had more discharge than usual, which I've read can happen on Clomid.

DH and I are being stupidly optimistic about this cycle and even discussing potential baby names. But maybe positivity is a good thing!

8dpo now if I go with the FF app but i had ov pains two days later than the predicted ovulation so I'm trying to stay relaxed.
I'm testing daily because of the trigger shot and the line is barely visible now, so want to see it coming back darker hopefully.

The odd twinge symptom wise, but I'm on progesterone so could be that. No pre-period mild cramps which I do often get so lack of that is a tiny bit hopeful

Ooh, that soubds quite promising @Fortheloveofbugs ! I'm not on Progesterone or a trigger. Just crossing fingers I ovulated :)

Well. The mild cramps have appeared today. Won't uncross fingers just yet at 8dpo but... Getting my head in the accepting defeat zone. Was my last month trying with any help. From here on out it'll just happen if it happens, and so probably not.

@Fortheloveofbugs You're definitely not out yet! I totally get how you feel though. It's hard not to over analyse every twinge

5dpo for me today, but used letrozole not clomid. On 800mg of progesterone and prednisone steroids. Fingers crossed for us all ❤️

8dpo today! Just took a progesterone blood test this morning, interested to see my results and I hope it wasn’t too late today. My temp is good but zero symptoms. My gut says no we didn’t hit the right days and ovulation came much quicker than expected.

I did 6 mths on 50mg with no joy increased to 100mg and pregnant next cycle. Good luck
