Count Binface has a genuine chance against Nigel Farage!

Sounds crazy but…

None of the major parties are competing…

Farage won Clacton with 46% of the vote…

If the 54% united together to vote for Binface, we could have the most preposterous election outcome of all time!

I reckon this could get some genuine momentum… all the other parties would LOVE this result, and even if they didn’t actively campaign for it, would surely quietly be gunning for Binface to win.

Having an election forced upon them didn’t seem to trouble the people of Makerfield.

I guess it was a slightly more normal election with actual candidates and an arguable reason for taking place though. I would suggest that the pissed off will stay at home rather than vote for someone who the right are now going all-in to point out would not support Farage-type policies were he to be elected as their MP.

Very fair. Yet, yet…

Someone on X was saying when the public are angry you can manage as politician but when they laugh at you you’re done.#

I think this is true.

I've noticed that all the comments about reform on my local newspaper FB page before the local elections were all overwhelmingly "we love nigel" but now, there's huge growing anger about the £500m they want to waste putting a pointless legal challenge against the changing councils, every 4 or 5 comments there's someone bringing up the £5m, so this isn't going away.

and reform are having a laugh if they think Robert Jenrick or Suella Braverman could lead the party. People absollutely despise them, and Richard Tice isn't much more popular.

So now people are taking the piss out of Farage, his career is done.

Oh dear following on from the earlier "fascist " comment, the bollocks buzzword bingo continues with calling anyone who is to the political right a "racist".

It's really getting tiresome and predictably the response just for flagging this will be "then you must also be a racist or racist sympathiser".

Now if someone can use the word "Nazi" in an accusatory post then I can call "House" on bollocks buzzword bingo.

And yet nobody called "anyone who is to the political right a racist". They called Farage and Fox racists, because they clearly are.

When will the racists (including the racism apologists on here) grow the fuck up and at least start owning their racism?

If I had to place a bet, I’d put it on Farage winning. But I think there’s a reasonable prospect of a (very funny) shock outcome in this peculiar by-election, including a close enough result that a Farage win would look feeble.

It is at least a little presumptuous to say that you’re not the Clacton demographic and they’ll generally not vote against Farage. For one thing they might rightly be pissed off that they have had this election forced on them by him.

Farage already looks, and will look, feeble at best. There is no outcome from this that will mean the entire process will have been net positive and left him in a better position than he was in before.

It will just be question of whether he looks like a bit of tit for calling an election that served no purpose, or an absolutely failure and laughing stock for losing it.

Ode to Count Binface
Concession Speech from Nigel Farage, Clacton By-Election Night

My friends, gather round the bar,
Raise a pint – though tonight it tastes of tar.
The people of Clacton have spoken clear,
And I, Nigel Farage, must bend the ear.
For I have been bested by a noble Bin,
A Count so fine, with a lid held high and trim.
Smarter than this old campaigner, it’s true,
Funnier by far – Lord, what a view!
While I banged on about boats and Brussels brew,
Count Binface soared on wit and recycled dew.
He didn’t need a megaphone or a tie so blue,
Just a bin bag heart that’s honest through and through.
I stand here humbled, tail between my legs,
A man of flesh and bluster, full of dregs.
Basically just trash, if we’re speaking plain,
While Count Binface recycles hope again and again.
He’s a better person – or bin – than I’ll ever be,
With policies daft and brilliant, served for free.
No shady donors, no backroom deals,
Just pure, unfiltered, bin-based appeals.
So I concede, with a grin and a tear,
To the greatest candidate this seaside town will cheer.
Count Binface, my hat is off, my sword is sheathed,
You’ve won the day, and Clacton’s hearts bequeathed.
I’ll slink off now to some dusty old boozer,
Mutter about the establishment and lose my composure.
But mark my words, you glorious metallic chap,
You’ve shown this country how to take the rap.
To Count Binface – the sharper, the wittier, the best!
I’m just the trash that failed the bin test.
God save the King, God save the bins,
And God help Nigel start all over again.
Cheers.

When will the racists (including the racism apologists on here) grow the fuck up and at least start owning their racism?

And as predicted there we finally have it!

Anyone asking for actual evidence of racism is now called "a racism apologist ".

Facts and evidence no longer matter in the great "anti racism witch hunt.

1dayatatime · Today 10:24

Birthdayfeel · Today 06:51

Exactly what would you call evidence? More than 20 people with the same first hand accounts over the anti semitism?

Honestly this is becoming like some kind of medieval witchcraft trial.

The prosecution claims that Farage is in league with Satan. After a local villager came forward to publicly claim that they saw Farage dancing naked a midnight with a demon, 19 other villagers came forward to claim that they saw exactly the same thing.

On asking for any actual evidence of witchcraft, the defence was also immediately accused of witchcraft.

Farage at school hissing at Jewish students and harassing them? Fox inciting race riots in Northern Ireland?

You asked for evidence and are now trying to deflect again. We see what you are doing and frankly, decent people are tired of the far right nonsense peddled by the likes of Farage and Fox. Its boring now. Like the flags on lampposts, pathetic.

Yep. The absolute best case scenario is he wins convincingly against a bin, on a turnout that's very unlikely to be as high as the not especially high 2024 one, having had the piss ripped out of him continually for several weeks.

This is very obviously not how it was meant to go.

Ahh the bollocks buzzword bingo continues with "deflection".

It's not " defection" to simply seek facts and evidence, nor does it make somebody a racist or a fascist for asking for such evidence.

Look if you can provide links to Farage publicly making racist statements then great, but until then it's some modern day equivalent of a witch-hunt.

So the flags on lamp-posts need to come down but we have to put up with all the flags of a country some 2,000+ miles away, all over some parts of London.

Yup, it is boring.

Hilarious that Nige now says it's for the people to judge him (before all the facts are known) when Jenrick, Braverman and Anderson didn't give the people the chance to judge them in a by-election when they defected.

Hilarious to say it's for the people of Clacton to scrutinize him and that the establishment are treating voters with contempt when he has stated he will not take part in constituency hustings with Binface. Joke or not, he's a legitimate candidate.

Hilarious to talk about the uni party and the establishment when be colluded with the Tories in 2019 to stand down 317 Brexit Party candidates (none of whom got their deposits back) and he's a millionaire city banker from a wealthy family and ticks every box that is used to describe the establishment.

Hilarious that his rabid supporters and the bots on social media are spending ages to try and paint Binface as establishment just because he's done some work as a freelancer for the BBC. If he's no threat, why are they making such a converted effort to paint him as establishment? He's a bloke with a bin on his head.

Hilarious that they say Binface has been put up to this as a BBC plant, a fake actor, because the BBC is left wing when Binface has stood against those noted right wingers Andy Burnham, Sadiq Khan, Boris Johnson, Theresa May and Rishi Sunak.

Desperate stuff and only morons fail to see it and still think Farage is a man of the people. It's all an act. Jenrick and Cunningham made themselves look even more stupid than they are and their only strategy is "awful media, witch hunt". Jenrick, of course, is also under an investigation.

Nigel will probably win. But potentially with a reduced majority and/or on a poor turnout. Not a great look. If it's a significant reduction, it's a humiliation. All summer he's going to be ridiculed, if not in Clacton, everywhere else. The two things he hates are being scrutinized and being ridiculed.

It's perfectly possible that by the end of this and the standards investigation that he'll be ousted as too much of a liability as too many swing or undecided voters will back a party with a bloke that was afraid to debate with a quick-witted intelligent comedian in a bin.

It’s nothing of the sort. Twenty witness testimonies in a legal trial would be compelling evidence that would convince a jury.

But my facts are more factual than your facts because I FOUND THE FACT, and in fact, the facts you want can’t be found because they’re not factual.

the only facts Farage apologists accept are facts from within their own camp.

Jenrick bawling with reporters on TV agreeing with Nigel that the media have been "hounding" his children (Jenrick even used the word kids to try and make it sound evil).

Truth (as seen on cameras): a reporter knocked on a door of the house Farage was last registered at to vote. They asked a question if the occupant (a woman in her 20s) who didn't want to speak.

That is not hounding. It's deflecting from what's going on here. It's a limited company masquerading as a political party for select business people to make money out of personally by supporting other business people or those with vested interests who want to stop any scrutiny of their activities.

If Reform were ever to gain power they'd ensure nothing they did was ever scrutinized and there'd be more corruption than you could possibly imagine.

No it wouldn't - jeez you do actually need to have evidence.

If one person came forward and publicly announced that they saw Farage saying Satanist comments then followed by an additional 19 other people claiming he said the same thing, does not equate to evidence.

You need recorded or publicly made comments to be evidence otherwise it's hearsay.

Greenleavesandsunshine · Today 10:53

Evidence of racism against Farage - didn’t all his former school mates (not mates actually) come out with loads of evidence. Making hissing noises (like gas) at Jewish boys and telling black kids they needed to be sent home. You could (?) argue it was school boy banter (?) if he apologised but he didn’t. That all sounds racist to me.
Is he a facist - not at the moment, but he does cast longing glances at facism.

Witness testimony is frequently used as evidence in legal cases. You quite clearly don’t understand what constitutes evidence. Why do you think witnesses are called?
