I think the ironic thing is that the people who don’t agree these people are not likely to speak up because they also don’t want to become a target and are just getting on with things.

Well then they can’t complain; when they are all tarred with the same brush can they?

Aren't "the rich" taxed everywhere?
Not one of them!

I certainly can. I’m going to look down on anyone who makes assumptions about me just because of the nasty and vocal element.

People here are constantly going on about how scary and violent TRAs are, so I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect ordinary people to speak up alone or organise.

Coatsoff42 · 05/07/2026 16:34

Ooh, deleted! Well, like I said, they aren’t living very authentically in my opinion.

And I look down on those who knowingly support the removal of women’s rights. I mean, I assume the “quiet” TIM are still using womens spaces even though they know it causes women distress and embarrassment. So what is the difference between them and the TRA? If they truly wanted to “get on with life” they wouldn’t use female spaces would they?

Ordinary women have been facing the threats, speaking up and organising. Are you hoping that we will do the work for you?

At last, someone who understands why it is so difficult for women to complain about men or transwomen in their spaces. They really don’t like to hear a different experience or opinion.
Do you have any solutions?

Some* ordinary women have. I’m guessing you assume the rest are hoping you just do it for them?

Apparently so. It’s too hard for the “trans community” to get the TRA in check, or maybe because they don’t want to. I mean, thanks to the TRA, any male with a trans identity can use the women’s facilities and women will be afraid to make a scene, whereas before the TRA, women would be more inclinded to kick up,a fuss at a man in their space. So the TIM have no interest in claiming the TRA, and we all know the trans community ignores TIF as much as they can.

Not sure what your asterisk is for.

Yes, of course women are fighting this battle on behalf of all women, even trans-identified females. What we are not doing is fighting it on behalf of men, not even the really sad ones.

How do you know what the individuals on here are doing in real life? FWS started on Mumsnet. A lot of us are involved in groups and campaigns outside of the Internet. Just because a lot of the trans community are cowards who take advantage of the tactics of the TRA doesn’t mean every other human is like that. It must be a woman thing, we move in the shadows.

Looks like he didn't even bother to iron them, just gave them a sniff after picking them up off the bedroom floor.

Was this at a Pride march? He might have peaked a few people there.

Yes. Pride in London, according to his post.

I want to make sure we’re talking about the same thing here. What is your definition of a a TRA and what do they believe?

A TRA is anyone who believes they are a TRA. Isn’t that how definitions work now?

Oh yes, very clever

But this is how it woks right? I mean how long on here have women been asking for a definition of woman? Or trans? Or non binary? Surely if we can’t define those things, we can’t define TRA?

WrongKindOfFeminist · 05/07/2026 17:19

This shift from 'protect the dolls' T shirts to 'arm the dolls' worries me.

Trans 'bash back' are promoting 'direct action' and have already targeted a politicians office.

A trans identifying man with serious mental health issues has been (by his own account; and bear in mind he is an unreliable narrator) spoken to by Prevent over his threats to a councillor. Last time I checked he had been sectioned.

We have had Sarah Baker inciting crowds to 'punch [terfs] in the fucking face' and Sophie Molly calling through a loudhailer for people to 'take a shite' on JK Rowling.

There is also Zoe Watts, special constable, jailed for 3D printing a gun.

Trans rights activists have always been extreme, but I am concerned that the rhetoric is becoming more overtly violent and threatening.

TRA is a term that is used quite heavily in gender critical spaces, so I’d certainly hope you know what group of people you are talking about

Oh I do. Thankyou. Like I know what a woman is. It’s those in the “trans community” who seem to struggle with definitions isn’t it?

I will if you can define woman in a way that includes all females and TIM but excludes all TIF, NB and men. Let’s goooooo.
And no cheating by using the words woman, identifying, living or feeling.
