Sexism/other issues in the Green party England & Wales - Discussion Thread 3

Zack Polanski is making things bigger yet again so another thread needed.

Well things have developed rather a lot since the start. ZP started out as being another sexist guy in politics - no shortage those around, but he thought he could take it to a new level and he proved he could do it.

The Green threads have followed his rise from the start of with the Hypnoboobs scandal and much more. There is also:

Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it, has always had a issues with encouraging racist violence and is now encouraging people to sue the Green party if they attempt to stop them saying racist stuff.

The other deputy Rachel Millward represents the posh rich faction of the Greens who manages to sounding like Reform when opposing Asylum Seekers in her area, but at the same time saying we are too harsh on immigrants in general. Obviously she also doesn't believe women are a thing. Yet she is the least crazy when violence is concerned compared to ZP, and Mothin.

Hypnoboobs scandal got worse recently when it became clear from BBC footage ZP actively believed in the Hypnoboobs thesis rather than being tricked into it.

Alongside all this there is constant ongoing attacks on biological reality from the party in interviews and in policy.

Now in the last week or so after a longstanding spate of antisemetic rhetoric from some Greens during the election campaign and ZP downplaying it. We have synagogues, schools, ambulances attacked, two Jewish people dead and ZP berating unarmed police for risking their lives in fighting a violent killer who was still armed with a knife things have come to a crisis point.

The Greens are becoming ever more sinister with dozens of candidates sounding like they are seventies NF supporters with comments about uppity women and Jewish power. The huge drama over a crazy motion which they were trying to pass against Israel at conference alongside a motion to prevent women having sports will surface again their September conference.

It seems likely after next week The Greens are going to be running a bunch of councils which doesn't bode well after their antics in Bristol.

Yet there is hope, in Bristol women are fighting back_: www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5455053-bristol-council-is-about-to-be-sued_

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration, ( https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing, both getting through legal delaying tactics as they move to trial. Gardening is needed. These cases if successful could be dramatic in their impact.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of ZP and lots of other scandal

Second Thread:

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their sexist drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology and women/gays enough at the time.

Video from Emma Bateman.

'I have with contributions from Baroness Claire Fox, who explains why my case is important politically, and my solicitor Elizabeth McGlone, who sets out my legal case against the Green Party.
I hope that the film will help to raise awareness of my case and raise funds for my next court date, which is a case management hearing on 10 September. Following that hearing, I hope to finally have the timetable for the hearing of the actual case laid out - it has been a long time coming!'

Go Emma! Her case is going to rock the Greens.

I planted seeds in this case at the beginning, it’s dragged on for years! Hope she gets a date for the hearing soon.

ArabellaScott · 02/07/2026 09:54

case management hearing on 10 September, Eresh, so hopefully sometime soon after that?

Interview with Caroline Lucas making waves mainly because her comments on the Zionist row.

Her comments on the anti-woman stance in the party are revealing because what she says should not happen has happened women have been targeted for asserting reality.

Caroline Lucas: The Greens Have Been "Really Burnt" By Progressive Alliances With Labour

The party has also been criticised by some in recent years for its expulsion of ‘gender-critical’ members who oppose its policy on self-identification. Does Lucas think the zero-tolerance approach that has been taken is the right one?

“As far as I know, people haven’t been expelled simply for being gender-critical and, if they have, that should never happen,” she says. Suspension as a result of someone being accused of transphobic language or actions is one thing, Lucas says, whereas those who are gender-critical but “perfectly respectful – I don’t think we should be hounding those people out of the party”.

It seems inevitable that as the Greens grow, factional infighting will become more common. When asked what her advice would be, Lucas strikes a maternal tone: “There needs to be an awful lot more willingness to hear views that aren’t necessarily your own. We need to find ways of handling difference in our party, and all parties, in a better way.”

She continues: “If there’s transphobia or homophobia or any kind of race hate, that is completely unacceptable. But most of this stuff is much more about differences of views that we ought to be able to find ways to handle better.”

Very revealing:

Lucas has been accused of trash talking ZP in the interview. This is her defence illustrating exactly the drama in the part:

Sorry Caroline Lucas, but get lost. I know someone who was very prominent in the party (would have been a cabinet minister had they won power), and was treated like shit for over a year for calmly and reasonably expressed GC opinions, zero hate speech, forcing her out of the party.
How would Lucas like it if her and other members who aren't rabid anti Zionists are similarly treated?

There's a series on R4/ BBC sounds called 10 fights that shaped the green movement. I've not listened to all of them but heard the one yesterday about the People Party, which later became the greens.

I had no idea it was founded by Teddy Goldsmith or that his nephew Zack (now Tory peer. Ex London Mayoral candidate) succeeded him as editor of the Ecologist magazine he founded. It was about the blue- red axis and the fight for trying to overcome that, which with ZP seems to have gone full left populist.

'As far as I know', is a pretty paltry fig leaf. Wasn't she in charge when exactly this was happening.

Precisely how can members be GC but still be considered 'perfectly respectful'. We've seen time and time again; Upton, the Darlington nurses, the current tribunal, there's no acceptable way to be openly GC. I wish she'd have given an acceptable example. The GI brigade get away with calling for murder.

I know the inside story of a prominent Green who was treated as if she was a criminal, or more accurately, a traitor to the cause.
Silence, innuendo, cold shouldering, group shaming.
This is no group of people you want anywhere near running this country.
And this is before Polanski's caste took over, it must be 10x worse now.
If you heard her story as relayed to me, you'd see everything they say about weaponised cancel culture is accurate.

Polanski rates Gary Stevenson as having taught him about the wealth tax he advocates.

This must be his first non YouTube appearance actually fronting a documentary

Hasn't he been moaning on Piers Morgan's show that he hates all the attention of being hyper visible, and just wants to work in a library on research.
So, what's stopping him?

That's the genuine title of his thing. It's very much of a piece with Polanskis claim that "government debt isn't real".

Plus considering he's a millionaire ex BANKSTA he's still issuing Rachael Swindon style grifting begging appeals for funds to the presumably leftish ad skint followers of his.

You'd think Polanski would recognise fellow game
