TTC baby number 4!

Hello, just looking for some advice and I guess, somewhere to offload!

Me and DH are currently trying to conceive baby number 4, but, I haven't had a period since August 2025.

February 3rd - February 7th 2026, I noticed spotting when I wiped. Pinky, very light, then some very pale orangey, and also some tinged in clear cervical fluid.

One app suggested this was my fertile period..

Another suggested it was my period.

February 5th I started using clear blue digital ovulation tests and on the 5th - empty circle
On 6th I got a 'Still smiley' so, DTD.

Had full, heavy feelings in right side ovary (my dominant ovary) then and since then, but tracking LH with premom tests, all showing 'low' (Highest 0.42)

Cervical mucus now 'thin, lotiony, but I'd class as drying fast or, on the drier side ' on 16th February.

I've been wanting to implement the shettles method but, obviously without having had a period of a structure to my cycle, I'm struggling.

So, feeling a little depleted with attempts.

Anyone else had these struggles with not knowing if or when you'll have a period or ovulate?

I feel like I'm wasting my time.

I had some light, 'periody' feelings, and light cramps yesterday evening around 6pm,
followed by literally one tiny spot of pink blood on some tissue later in the evening after a wee.
literally the tiniest amount, think poppy seed size. I thought it was odd.

Then after another wee before bed, noticed two small perfectly pink spots of blood, again,
light and very small on the tissue.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of it as my cycle has been all over the place this month, from ovulation happening much later than my app suggested, but, I put that down to hormones having a wobble after having my first proper period in a long while, at the start of this cycle.

I'm unsure if it's possibly implantation bleeding, or just progesterone dropping and my period gearing up to start at some point, but so far nothing seen today, so who knows.

It's unusual for me, I've only ever noticed 'implantation bleeding/spotting' when I had a chemical in February, but not with any of my previous pregnancies.

I'm going to give it another day or two and see if there's any more progression or changes to note,
it's my husbands birthday on the 15th so, I'll probably test on the morning of the 16th so not to disappoint myself and him all day on his birthday, or waste a 'good' test! 🤣

i took a test this morning BFN which i expected I just didn’t think this month would be out month, it’s a bit of a weird one but i always find after me and my partner dtd i feel like all his semen comes out and no matter what i do i can’t get it to stay in, i have googled it and it always says the same thing that its normal for “some” to come out but it’s definitely not “some” it’s definitely most if not all of it i feel like this is a reason im struggling to get pregnant, hmm not sure my heads a bit going wild feeling a bit deflated today

i got pregnant last November, and it was one of the only times that i can remember that it all didn’t come out from what i can remember

It's still early in the cycle, @Creepyoctopus , test again in a few days if your period doesn't show!

I'm thinking it's going to be more of a hormonal thing because I've been so unregulated recently.

As for the semen situ. I've had the same at times.
Try and tilt your hips/bum up after, maybe have a cushion under your bum, to tilt you for a little while after so that you're angled upwards or, have your legs up the wall, in the air for about 5 minutes after 🤣 find a way to keep it in, like a human vase 💀

it supposedly only needs a minute or so to get into the cervix where it's 'safe'. Then the remaining liquid comes out.

I took a frer test this morning and negative so, I think I'm out. App says period in 3 days so will have to see how well that lines up with predictions!

I’m 8dpo today and got the occasional tingly boobs and tired but nothing else screaming out at me. I’m solo parenting all this week so probably just down to that 😂

I think I’ll test Saturday when the husband is home!

I came on my period today 👎🏻 boooo.

Hey @laesosalt - have you tested? Sorry I forgot how many DPO you were but remember you said maybe you'd test on Saturday..?

I'm very much on my period now but, grateful in a way to know there's some sort of hormonal activity after so long without having any. This will be my second very obvious period since TTC number 4, so, sad it's come around, but, it's okay because it means the vitamins and healthier eating since November has been beneficial for my hormones!

@TTCbaby4 That is wonderful news despite the obvious. I am sure your body is preparing for your baby very soon 🤗 If you enjoy a wine, I hope you are enjoying one!

I was going to test but holding off now as don’t feel it’s likely. I’m roughly 10dpo today so I may cave but do feel AF is approaching. To be fair we only had unprotected sex once after just deciding to go for it. Next month I’ll be on the OPK’s 😂😉

maybe try and hold out this cycle and see if AF comes in a few days.. then you've saved yourself a test ! Personally, I'm sick of using tests early now , Im holding off till 12dpo from now on 😂

Period has arrived!

Can I join this thread! TTC no.4 too. Still BF our 22mo and not sure if I will actually fall pregnant when I’m feeding. Periods returned last year and had a chemical or early miscarriage in December. I think my cycles are sorting themselves out and I THINK I might have ovulated yesterday and luckily we DTD last night. I had weird pink CM yesterday ( I never usually get that ) so wondering if that, paired with cramps and it being CD17, was ovulation! Anyway, an awful TWW commences!! 😩😩

Hey how is everyone getting on? According to my app I’m due to ovulate today but my tests are extremely negative so i think I’m going to be ovulating late this month which is very very unusual for me

ahh I hope your tests show positive soon! I think I’ll need to track next month. I went rouge and ignored my app this month but now I’m stressing I missed the window. I’ve ordered some cheap tests which should arrive on Saturday. I don’t think I’m pregnant this month but we will see. We only DTD 3 times. I think I need to actually track ovulation with strips as my cycles are a bit all over! Sending love! Xx

@CPHB2021 sometimes it’s better to not track though and go with the flow i feel like it can be so consuming when you’re tracking, well fingers crossed, when i got pregnant last year we only dtd once and i caught pregnant so never say never i think 3 times is plenty xx

I am CD8 and just done my first ovulation test so will see how that goes 😊

my cycles have been weird since they’ve come back so I think I ovulated day 17/18 and we DTD then, but my app reckons I ovulated much much later. And the sperm wouldn’t have survived that much longer. However, I think the app thinks it’s later as it’s working on averages ( one of my cycles was 60 days ) I conceived my last child on day 18/19 so I’m hoping that’s my usual ovulation day. I think I’m 10dpo roughly today. Once my internet cheapies arrive, I’ll be testing like a maniac! 😅

How is everyone? My tests should arrive tomorrow and I’m dying to test. I have zero symptoms and there’s a very low chance of actually getting a BFP, but that won’t stop this serial tester!

How is everyone doing? I think I’m about to hit my most fertile days. OPK’s are gradually getting darker so we’ll see. It’s nice having something to pee on each day 🤣 I wish the TWW was the same…
