Kirstie is ridiculous as well, but I agree Owen just can’t help his misogynistic need to put women in their place. He's so childish with it. How do any of these people know what Diana would have thought? The poor woman’s been dead for nearly 30 years. What next, “Queen Victoria and Boudicca would have agreed with me so ner!”

WrongKindOfFeminist · 02/07/2026 11:16

'JK Rowling is a hate figure'

WTF even is a 'hate figure'? That seems ... revealing.

WrongKindOfFeminist · 02/07/2026 11:20

Why is 'hate crime' considered the absolute worst thing one can do but it's fine to call someone a 'hate figure'?

How come a man gets to decide a woman is a 'hate figure' and this justifies him shitting on her?

WrongKindOfFeminist · 02/07/2026 11:23

However glad to see Kirstie Allsop wading in. Perhaps we can arrange it that the two of them block everyone else and can just continue a perpetual argument with each other for evermore?

India seems to have left several comments, what a twit! He obviously thinks that Diana looks more like a princess/queen than jkr or Camilla, which shows his level of understanding of womanhood.
I am not one to comment on people's clothes usually but Camilla's outfit is giving me Handmaids Tale vibes.

India is on record saying that 'some people' think he's like Princess Di.

Which ones? The visually impaired and hard of hearing?

Pingponghavoc · 02/07/2026 13:45

Its interesting that Owen Jones assumes he knows what Diana would think or do, treating her as 'the community's' princess, and that India Willoughby, also part of 'the community', thinks he's similar to her.

Well, hats off to Camilla for this. I am impressed.

[Wanders off to look at the Queen's Reading Room / Book Club to see what's recommended ...]

OMG another 'Trumpian' appeasement. JKR must have lost her shit over the king's speech conversion therapy ban so they pulled the 'ol 'let's calm the uncouth barbarians down by putting on the royal ritz for them'.

You gotta hand it to them, they know the peasants well.

From The Times article

Camilla told Pelicot she had read her memoir Hymn to Life: Shame Has to Change Sides, in two days, and was left speechless. “I’ve met so many survivors of rape and sexual abuse,” she told Pelicot. “I never thought I could be shocked by anything any more, but I was shocked at your case — it left me speechless. You have so much support.”

She totally gets it. You can't learn about Gisèle Pelicot without every single possible scale falling from your eyes.

One example she is said to be particularly proud of is the Queen’s Reading Room, first established in 2021 during the pandemic as the Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room, an online book club featuring Camilla’s own recommendations, encouraging people of all ages to pick up a book.

And if she's avidly into helping children read, who is the best representative of that concept?

Women know that the cost of just having power as a woman means you’ll be attacked or doubted sometimes. But when you’ve come through the fire — and Camilla has come through the fire and burnished on the other side — you’re ready to deal with that.”

it makes them meeting practically inevitable, doesn't it.

All these men screeching at these remarkable women haven't quite caught up with the Zeitgeist.

The right side of history is nowhere to be seen, and now they just look like unhinged trolls.

I have to say, their total loss of influence, complete collapse in credibility, and relegation to sputtering weirdos certainly warms the cockles.

What does give her satisfaction, though, is that if this is a role that destiny has prescribed for her, then she’s determined to do it with purpose and principle.”

The fact that there's not a TRA alive who has even the smidge of a principle is known by many women, but watching them betray themselves so resoundingly in their condemnation of these women positively sets my cockles on fire.

This is amazing! I’m really pleased. I become more impressed by each of them as time passes.
