Tempest v Rural Payments Agency Tribunal Thread 2

Previous thread: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5546841-tempest-v-rural-payments-agency-tribunal-thread-follow-on-from-chair-of-seen-is-being-sued

TT substack: https://tribunaltweets.substack.com/p/tempest-vs-defra-and-rural-payments

Tempest (a TW) is claiming discrimination, harassment and/or victimisation on grounds of gender reassignment. Central to the claim is the existence of the Sex Equality and Equity Network in the Civil Service (SEEN). SEEN has been granted right to intervene. Parts of the original claim against the co-chair of SEEN (Elspeth Duemmer-Wrigley) and another party (Andreas Mueller) were struck out or narrowed. Another claimant, PQ, is no longer part of the case.

I will also note that Elspeth still has a garden in need of seeds and water to support the ability of SEEN to be an intervenor in this case. The claim originated because she said "only women menstruate" and a search with her name and those terms at the usual gardening website should point you to her plot.

Just place marking, with penguins.

This chap is just beyond reason.

AL - the post in question was removed and so on removal, any icons were also removed,
ST - resolves the post itself, doesn't deal with staff people who supported those opinions
AL - so if the post was removed then the like was removed
ST - the post was removed, but AM was not disciplined
AL - so you're saying that anyone who likes a post that is removed, that person should be investigated
ST - that person should be investigated, because the behaviour is there
AL - but there are resource constraints and the possibility for accidents.

This is batshit.

Thought police stuff.

murasaki · 29/06/2026 16:29

So anyone who liked a post he disapproved of should be investigated. How very Stasi of him.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 29/06/2026 16:31

And he wants them punished 🤯

CriticalCondition · 29/06/2026 16:32

Carrying on from the previous thread, ST has seen a LOT of things he can't admit to having seen.

J - how do we know that it was AM,
ST - you could hover over the likes and it would tell you who liked it
J - do you have any evidence that he liked it
ST - I dont' Judge

Me too.

Boiledbeetle · 29/06/2026 16:33

ST is well and truly over egging his case now. He seems to truly think EVERYTHING is transphobic if it's not something that swears complete and utter devotion to his delusions.

Sorry about taking up the last comment on the last thread, bad timing!

And, no, you're wrong!! But let's not derail... (because I'm right) 😆

murasaki, nope, you, too, you're all wrong!

SlackJawedDisbeliefXY · 29/06/2026 16:35

ST - you could hover over the likes and it would tell you who liked it

You could, as in past tense, I already did this or one could do this?

I thought that he was supposed to be avoiding this stuff?

Maybe one of his helpers informed him that this was possible and who was liking posts?

FarriersGirl · 29/06/2026 16:35

From TT:

ST - without reading the article I don't think I can say

AL - but you're able to see the excerpt from the article
ST - yes
AL - an article is posted and it's normal for comments to be posted, and it's a valid thing to raise safeguarding concerns about single sex spaces

ST - the more I read this, the more I remember it was about trans people, and some trans people are bad so the system shouldn't be changed because of the bad people. AM is suggesting author doesn't understand safeguarding,
what refs trans people
ST - the article is talking about trans people, and some do bad things, he's promoting the idea that we should ban trans people to ensure safety.
AL - the judge took us to the comments at the bottom of that thread, you didn't personally complain about
J - I can see a comment where AM responds but not clear

Edited

Almost inevitably, which is why he can't give the judge evidence. As then he'd have to admit to looking at stuff he said was so distressing he had to go off sick for 5 months, and couldn't come back until they'd made it impossible for him to see. Despite him looking by proxy.

FarriersGirl · 29/06/2026 16:38

From TT:

these posts ST - I don't know, by this stage I was getting very disillusioned about complaints, all of mine were getting rejected.
AL - you don't remember complaining, but PQ did, you can that here, comment in email, that AM's comments have been removed already, comments weresubject to moderation.

ST - no i don't think so, the underlying post was removed and so all the comments were removed,
J - article was removed and that got rid of all the comments
AL - in your hands, about to move to another issue, it's about 4:30, I have made good progress through the issues, and I'm going to need a couple of more hours, we may need to look at the spreadsheet.

J - we are going into these in some detail, and I understand why, but it can be difficult to see where we are going. J - okay, thank you everyone

Afternoon session ends.

ItsCoolForCats · 29/06/2026 16:41

ST is utterly, utterly insufferable.

He says he has been harassed because Defra didn't prevent him from seeing posts that offended him. But some people ("allies" presumably) have also sent him a message from a Teams call for autistic women that he wasn't on so he could claim to be offended by what was said on there and complain about that too.

Doesn’t that sum up most genderists?

From previous thread:

they consider surgery on children to be mutilation.

How can anybody not think gender reassignment on children is not mutilation is beyond me.

NowSober · 29/06/2026 16:44

ST's problem is that he wants to be a woman & cannot abide to be reminded that he is a man.

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 29/06/2026 16:44

@FarriersGirl - thanks for keeping us informed

This is what you get when you pander to this batshittery, you feed the stupid and you end up with arrogant, selfish, demanding nutters who are puff up on they're own self-importance.

BeMoreBear · 29/06/2026 16:44

by this stage I was getting very disillusioned about complaints, all of mine were getting rejected.

And he doesn't have the self awareness to realise that it might be because he's looking for things that aren't there? I wonder how much actual work he has done over the course of his career in the CS. He's just spending all his time inventing grievances and looking for problems.

It's as silly as neighbour 1 telling me that neighbour 2 has a Birmingham City flag in their house, and me being cross as I'm a Villa fan, despite it never having come up in conversation between me and neighbour 2.

(Nb, I have no idea what flags may or may not exist in neighbour 2's house and care even less).

Sounds like maybe allies are egging him on?

Why would they be doing that when they knew that he was off work for mental health reasons? Surely these people are causing his mental health to deteriorate further?

CriticalCondition · 29/06/2026 16:46

Article by a de-transitioner = harassment
Article by a de-transitioner with a trigger warning for trans people= harassment
thumb's up icon = harassment
'like' icon = harassment

To be continued.

Honestly, I think he has a lot more problems than that!

I can't wait until NC gets to have a crack at this chap.
