And I'm sure many of the perpetrators would have been described by their wives/girlfriends/mothers etc as "a lovely guy " "the perfect husband " "great father " blah blah blah. 🙄

I expect their wives and girlfriends are wracking their brains for strange experiences themselves- nights they were surprisingly tired, mornings they were groggy, unexpected UTIs.

Presumably is a small step from raping a drugged woman to drugging your own partner.

Yes, and if they attend a GP appointment for whatever issues they're experiencing, it will no doubt be put down to "women's " problems. We are so fucking fucked. I wouldn't be surprised if a doctor was involved in this particular case.

The name and shame is good. That should be an effective deterrent.

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 27/06/2026 09:46

Endeyecheck

Google it. This is not a 1 off. 6 million men accessed the website that TEACHES men how to do this and co ordinates the rapes. 6 MILLION.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 27/06/2026 10:26

How in hell are they denying it? What can they feel is their excuse?
There are several ‘pathologies’ if you like.

The man drugged his wife. Raped her. Wanted to let other men rape her.

The one who admitted it is presumably the supplier of the drug.

I agree that it's great that the monsters are being named and shamed, but sadly I fear it won't be a deterrent. Doesn't help that the punishments are so damn lenient.

It is shocking. And I think it becomes a wider problem when so many 'ordinary' men, with partners, children, jobs etc, are doing this. It means the bar for male behaviour becomes so low ... 'well, at least he's never drugged me'. I've noticed on a few threads recently when someone criticises men more generally there are some posters who come on and say 'men are responsible for almost all historic scientific achievements etc'. Well, yes, but only because they blocked women from being involved. Who knows how different things would be if science had been led by women from the start? But also, I do sometimes wonder how on earth did men achieve all these great things when so many of them now really are total duds? Have men lost their way? I'm sure the proliferation of porn via the internet doesn't help. But honestly when I look around in my life it is women keeping things going in every sphere. It even starts at school where pretty much the only thing the boys do is football while the girls are on committees, getting involved, getting awards. Obviously there are some boys too, just as with the men, but it feels like in almost every area in society now women are outshining men. Is it because we had to learn to beat men on their own terms to be allowed to do stuff? I know men have always been violent including against women but these groups of men working together to carry out extreme abuse, is it just it is more reported? Or is there more of it? Is it because they don't take on the responsibilities women do ie childcare, caring, volunteering etc so they have all this free time to fill and can't figure out what else to do with it? Are they really that limited? And how can any if these men think what they've done is acceptable? It involved lengthy planning and collaboration, major premeditation with plenty of time to realise it was wrong.

What a brilliant post and I have to agree with everything...in particular the porn. I think they do these awful things because, quite simply, they're ruled by their dicks and not their brains.

Looking at the faces of those men arriving in court, there seems to be no look of shame about them.

And it would seem that being the recorders of history has helped white men enormously. There are a lot of unrecognised women whose achievements were presented as theirs by men.
A relatively recent case where she went to court to prove that the massively successful artwork her husband had been fronting were in fact hers. In court he was unable to demonstrate his ability, while she successfully produced a artwork.
Another artist of long ago whose ‘dabbling’ wife/sister actually painted a lot of the works we’d attributed to him.
Watson and Crick didn’t credit the woman whose photographs of the area she was studying allowed them to see and publish the thing she had found and identified.
…and many many more, including the successes of people of colour.

guinnessguzzler · 27/06/2026 15:46

Thanks @PrizedPickledPopcorn such a good point, I hadn't even thought about that side of things too!

Veronyk · 27/06/2026 15:55

Every single man who fucks a prostitute is just as bad as these losers.
We all know that prostitutes are trafficked, beaten, coerced, drug addicted etc. Yet everyday men are happy to fuck them up the arse and post reviews about their lack of enthusiam on punter sites. No compassion at all. No feeling of common humanity. Why?

I agree. As previously mentioned on here, I discovered my now ex BF was using prostitutes. I then went down a rabbit hole and found some fucking awful forums where punters were leaving reviews in great detail about the women they'd been fucking. The stuff they said was disgusting..one example "I forced her dick deep into her throat until she was choking " I kid you not.

EVERYTHING. That's what is wrong with men. If there were really many good men they would be sorting out the pigs and perverts. But they bloody well aren't are they. Far too busy watching porn, bullying women online and sticking up for their "bros" if you ask me. I think it suits them fine to put women "back in their place" we've plainly become too uppity.

This struck me as well. All the men in the Pelicot trial were wearing masks and trying to obscure their faces walking into court.

Needapadlockonmyfridge · 03/07/2026 07:34

It is absolutely sickening, isn't it. Just how many men are involved in this, and how many more know about it and do nothing to stop it?

It's the scale and the sheer number and variety of men involved that's terrifying. Not that one or two wouldn't be equally as sickening.

This.

I could understand maybe one a decade. An exception, sick in the head and destined for a life in Broadmoor, but this is becoming so frequent it barely raises eyebrows.

The increasing number of men who can only be described as worse than animals is appalling.

Should we bring back the death penalty. Maybe that would curb it.
