Man accused of coercing wife into sex with 120 men goes on trial in Sweden

The man is alleged to have used the remoteness of their farm near Kramfors in northern Sweden, as well as surveillance cameras and drugs, to force her to perform sexual acts with men he had found online.

He denies wrongdoing and alleges the encounters were consensual - all he had done was help organise them.

I dont have time at the moment to find the links, but I know there have been a number of threads about similar court cases in other countries, including the UK. Not forgetting Giselle Pelicot.

Any suggestion that men behaving like this is very rare seems to me to be exactly the opposite - ie all too common.

Hardly rare if 120 men are willing to do these things to one woman, add in all the other men from all the other cases, not to mention the ones still to come to light… horrific.

Shocking but sadly unsurprising. Now it is widely recognised men from all walks of life do this, often recording the abuse and sharing it as well, the abused women are being found and rescued. I believe these have been going on forever and women were simply not believed, which in itself kept them from reporting. Even this week there was the story of the woman at Ulster who was arrested when she was seeking protection from her stalker, because they believed the man over the woman.

This was a similar case in the UK a few months back. This man was jailed for sixteen years for coercing a woman into having sex with more than 100 strangers over three decades.

That makes two UK cases, as there was one in Swindon as well. I have reason to believe that that case went back decades, and the police should know. The accomplices should be tried for something, too, and questioned about contacts in case the networks for each identified case intersect.
There's someone at the nearby church whose questioning of my friend roused suspicions - I suggested his wife was a victim of abuse, but I am now wondering if it is much worse.

its all so horrific, but perhaps it’s possible to take some solace in the progress being made in finding these “men” and putting them in jail. Violent misogyny isn’t new - but it isn’t being excused or hidden as much any more. Perhaps this is another step in creating a world where this won’t happen to women any more.
I read a thing recently where an academic argued it’s totally possible to create a society where rape is as taboo as cannibalism. It feels we are so far off that but maybe it could happen one day.

Probably chat forums that deal in these twisted scenarios,swapping files then sourcing others that want to go beyond yapping about it and enact the sordid ideas.

There was a bit on R4 about this the other day where they have made (I think 500) arrests globally after finding multiple sites with video evidence of men doing this and sharing it. I assume similar to the sites Pelicot was on sharing how to dose wives - sadly none of those who went to Court's partners would have hair strand testing to see if they had been raped, which could have helped police broaden the circles.

All too common probably, with men who have not yet done this, now thinking what a good idea it is since hearing about it in the news or seeing it on porn sites.

If only men who ruled the world were as generous with land as these men are with their wives, eh? Imagine, no wars, men being generous with each other, no need to get egotistical and one up each other... Funny they can do it with other people but not mud.
