Why would pictures of shampoo bottles persuade you to book a hotel?! Lakes suggestions?

Why on earth do hotels show you close ups of shampoo and hand wash bottles? I want to see pictures of the room, not toiletries. Any suggestions for the lakes welcome as I’m sick of looking at bottles of hand wash. Looking for walks/scenery/nice (not fancy) food and somewhere for a pint. Keswick appears to be the best option I’m seeing.

When are you going? Keswick lovely but absolutely mobbed in summer. Armathwaite Hall is nice and a little further out - still manageable for Keswick though and good for western Lake District which will be a little quieter in peak season.

What sort of budget OP?

I had a lovely stay at the Salutation in Ambleside.
