South coast areas with good schools and Gatwick access for families

The hubby and I and our boys 10 & 6 are looking at relocating to the South coast. I still need to be able to travel 1-2 days per week to Gatwick so no longer than 1.5 hour journey each way. We want to be near the coast but need decent school and amenities for the boys so that as they grow into teens and beyond they can get to places independently. We are thinking of Angmering, Goring, Worthing. It would be great to hear people’s experiences. It’s a tough one as we want that coastal out doors life style but do not want old town seaside arcade vibes if that makes sense. Any feedback on areas would be very appreciated.

Why have you posted the same OP twice ?

I have relatives that live in Worthing and love living there. Can’t comment on the schools but seems a nice place to live.

Does it matter?

A lot of my Brighton and Hove friends with kids moved to Worthing and are happy. Depends on house budget, as I hear West Worthing - Goring has nice bigger houses. Beach at Goring is just beach, Worthing has more cafes and big play park on the front.

Have you looked at Chichester?
