Best modular kids sofa/play couch

Changing baby’s nursery into a small playroom. Initially wanted an arm chair or similar to read books in/cuddle but at a play cafe recently sat on a possums play couch and was quite impressed. Kids do like playing dens, usually just with blankets and cushions so would probably enjoy the den element even if only for the next few years (4 and 2) but it was also comfy to sit on, and could have cousins sleeping over on it in a pinch.

But I’ve seen much cheaper ones on Amazon (50-90 rather than 230) don’t want to get a dud though! Any advice/recommendations?

The cushions on ikea sofas are exactly the same stuff as that play couch and they are great for den building. I would go for a normal sofa and maybe some pegs and a fold out climbing frame or laundry airer for den building.

I have a Possum and love it. A friend has had one for four children over several years and it still looks in perfect condition. I’d be worried with the Amazon ones if they are made of safe materials as well as durability. A lot of cheap Amazon stuff is drop shipped and doesn’t conform to British safety standards and testing.
