I've finally cracked on this one. Reno (capitalised) is a town in Nevada, whilst if one is trying to use the barstardisation of the word 'renovation', i.e. 'reno', and it's not at the beginning of a sentence, it should not, in any place anywhere in the universe, be capitalised.

I realise this post will change nothing and I will still see things like 'How much will my Reno of my 3 bedroom house cost?' but, oh well, I've at least said it. 😂

Well yes. I do obsessively proofread but there it is, proof, indeed, that I, too, am a plonker. 😂

@TemporarilyCantDoMyself Rino was fairly normal compared to some of the names we came across.
They were usually completely made up, beginning with K or girls' names hyphenated with Mai, pronounced May.

Oh I noticed I was overdoing the commas; I had a writing mentor criticise my overuse of commas but she was American so I probably didn't give her enough credit for being right. Yikes! Memo to self, fewer commas...
I like the old dashes and dots too. Fond of punctuation all round really. Top stuff. Underrated. Someone should make sure it gets taught a bit more! 🤭

Autocarrot is a joke way of referring to autocorrect, but relies on the joker carefully checking that it hasn't been corrected in such a way as to nullify the joke!

"Reno" (capitalised or not) is really irritating, but not as bad as "inspo" which I see on MN all the time. At least renovation has an actual letter O in it. Insporation is not a word.

You are so right. Inspo is very much the devil's spawn.
I'm now trying to do something horrible with 'spawn' and 'spo', but it's not working.

I turn autocarrot off on all my devices.

I let the tech flag up what it thinks are errors and suggest corrections but i want to control the beast.

I'll make my own mistakes, thank you very much.
