AIBU to worry AI moderation could wrongly target legitimate teachers?

Long story short:

I teach English using Scots etymology, like David Crystal does. Reddit's Dublin AI banned me as a "bot".

I got Prof. David Crystal to email them confirming I'm real and the method is legitimate.

He wrote: "I do not take kindly to the thought that Reddit would also consider me to be a bot."

Reddit banned me anyway within 24 hours.

Ireland's Data Protection Commission has now opened Case DPC0726874260 investigating Reddit.

AIBU to think if they can ignore David Crystal, no teacher is safe?

What would you do if your child's English teacher was deleted by AI?

AI detectors sometimes think I’m AI because I write grammatically correct, well punctuated standard English, and proofread to ensure there are no typos. If it’s something critical, I write by hand, take a photo with a timestamp, and then copy to Word or whatever so that the timestamp is clearly later. It’s ridiculous, but it does provide evidence that it is my own original work.

What has teaching got to do with Reddit banning you?

Reddit can't really delete you. You're still here. Don't worry!

As for what would I do. I would very much hope my child's teacher was not teaching them via Reddit, frankly.

You probably got banned for trying to drum up business/establish authority to attract customers on a local Reddit rather than for your use of AI. They are probably just so used to bots being spammers these days that they sent you a boilerplate message.

I suspect OP has been posting in local groups with “help” and “information” that no one asked for, to try and attract customers for (I’m guessing) a tutoring business. It’s a labour intensive marketing method of getting customers that a few people can really pull off and most people can’t. And has been banned by spam filters/mods.
