I am out this cycle, anyone else want to join? Think I’ll ovulate around 29th June.

Ttc after an mmc and d and c in April, and took May off but think that was an anovulatory cycle anyway. Have a lovely three year old conceived through ivf.

Just got my period so that’s me out for this month. Never mind eh? Back on the rollercoaster in a couple of weeks and a massive glass of rose for me this evo… and cheesecake lol!

Anyone else getting towards end of the cycle and going insane with symptom spotting? I’m 10dpo, itchy nips, awful hormonal acne, increased discharge and feeling really tired but a BFN this morning ☹️ if all this is just pre period symptoms I’ll be gutted.

Yes I was going insane! It’s actually a relief to get my period just to have some certainty and I feel like I can forget about it for a week or so!

Annoyingly, it all comes down to progesterone, which causes the same symptoms whether you're about to get your period or you're pregnant. When progesterone levels drop before your period, you get the usual PMS symptoms. If you are pregnant, progesterone stays high, so the symptoms often continue and can feel exactly the same. That's why symptom spotting is the worst, there's really no way to know. All you can do is wait for your period to arrive or take a test! I just ignore every symptom because I get them every month anyway. 🤣

Yep I understand why, doesn’t make it any easier!

@Kathi154 I'm on cycle 9 and should know better by now but definitely symptom spotting. I'm 11dpo and didn't test this morning but got negatives at 8,9, and 10 dpo. (I had my dates slightly wrong so thought I was later otherwise I wouldn't have bothered testing so early). My fitbit versa shows skin temperature variation which is unreliable but it did shoot up last night. I also had one watered down drink on Wednesday (mimosa)and woke up with a terrible hangover which is so weird, I felt ill all day (10dpo). Sometimes I get tender boobs in the week runninng up to AF but they only started yesterday and AF is due tomorrow. I also had spotting on 5dpo for the first time ever but if that was implantation bleeding I'd have a positive test by now. IDK if I should test tomorrow or hold off for AF.

If I get mine tomorrow I'm cheering myself by booking on to the family holiday coming up. I've been holding off thinking I wouldn't want to fly 6m pregnant but if we're not successful this cycle we'll be ok to go. Rose and cheesecake sounds yum, good luck for the next cycle.

unluckyinlife · 03/07/2026 21:08

I'm now 11 days post implant removal, no idea when to test. On my implant I bleed fairly regularly (28-35 days) so I don't know whether to count that as cycles. We arent tracking or doing anything other than my flo app and trying to let things happen naturally but the guessing game is not helpful! X

It’s such a self punishing monthly routine isn’t it? I’m testing tomorrow purely because I’ve got such a big box of tests, and it kind of feels like a ritual to do it now.

It is haha, good luck with your test. After last month I decided I wasn't going to test unless my period was late but then caved this cycle when I got the spotting and bought a box of 20 easy at homes.

thehumgoesonforever · 04/07/2026 20:42

I’m 6dpo currently, was adamant I wasn’t going to symptom spot this time - which you think would be easy seeing as I have absolutely none of my usual post-ov symptoms that I get every month, but now this is just making me wonder is something different this time?? I’ve had some light cramps on and off and some watery/creamy CM but I normally get very tired, extreme hunger and my boobs are normally so sore and swollen from about 2 or 3dpo until my period starts but absolutely none of that so far, very strange

ByAquaFox · 05/07/2026 07:16

Well thats it 1dpo! Now the rubbish 2ww lol. This is my worst part of trying

Me too, I think! I have no idea when I ovulated though because I ran out of OPKs, so we've just covered random days from cycle day 7 up to today (day 15), just in case I ovulated later than usual. How many days did you get in?

I'm usually pretty chill during the TWW. It's only in the few days before my period is due that I go a bit gaga wondering if this is the month! 😂 I can't seem to switch my brain off by then.

Fingers crossed for both of us!

ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft · 05/07/2026 12:31

@ByAquaFox I hate the 2ww, it's the worst part of it for me. If it helps try and think of it as a one week wait as implantation takes around 6-10 days after ovulation so you can safely ignore everything in the first week as progersterone related. AF was supposed to arrive yesterday for me, my cervix hasn't dropped yet but I'm getting negative tests on a sensitive test so assuming I'm out. Ready for AF to arrive so I can get on with cycle 10. Weirdly not feeling that sad about it this month just happy to be on to the next. Going to try preseed this month as we normally need lube so wondering if that's impacting our chances? I'm trying to think back but I'm sure that when I got pregnant 6 months ago we didn't use any.

DmcinT · 05/07/2026 15:16

@ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft what do u mean when u say cervix hasn’t dropped, like how do u know or test this?

sorry I’ve been a little mia since our miscarriage in May but back on the ttc wagon again now. this is second cycle since MC and it’s been a weird one which I know can happen. For first af I had 2 days of v light brownish blood before red flow started so counted CD1 from red blood but I went to start opks (having had clear stretchy cm 7 &8) on CD9 and got a peak straight away, I’m now thinking was that actually CD11 with O probably CD12. It’s frustrating as we only dtd CD9 (had planned 11, 13 and 15) but cm completely gone the following day and RHR up

hate the thoughts of having missed a whole cycle 😫

Posypear · 05/07/2026 16:11

@ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft came to ask the same q- never heard of this!?!

Cervix is high during ovulation and starts to come back down before period and is at its lowest during period. If pregnant, it stays high. Some people check position with fingers as another way of tracking fertility.

ThereWereNoUsernamesLeft · 05/07/2026 19:27

@DmcinT So sorry to hear about your loss.
@Posypear This article explains it pretty well but basically you can feel your cervix position to give you some clues. Make sure your hands are thoroughly clean first. Best to use your middle finger. If you can feel it and your finger gets up to the first knuckle it's low, if you get to the second knucle its medium and if you get past that it's high. It will normally be high and soft around ovulation and in early pregnancy (feels like lips) and firm and low like the tip of a nose before ovulation. It's ideal to check it around the same time each day as it can move around a bit. It can vary person to person so not reliable on it's own but it can help to build a picture in combination with other things https://www.naturalcycles.com/cyclematters/cervix-positions-explained

Im two days past ovulation. I havent had any symptoms of the ovulation does other people ? It might be where I was so busy over the weekend I just didnt notice anything.

But onwards and upwards ill be busy over the next two weeks as I work in a school kitchen so we are on countdown for the 6 week holiday and plenty of events coming up and lots of cleaning up too so im hoping these next couple of weeks go by. Got my eldest daughters graduation tomorrow and her prom thursday so those to look forward to aswell.

ByAquaFox · 06/07/2026 09:25

@AndyBerrick84 we did it every day some days in morning some in evening. So a bit of a mixed one. Normally we do every other day but this time we did every day. Partner is getting irritated by my opk testing said just to let it happen 😒 but im ocd about my body so its easier said than done lol. So are we potentially cycle day buddies lol

Kathi154 · 06/07/2026 10:12

Still BFN for me at 13 DPO so now I’m just waiting for AF to arrive. Telling myself all the reasons why it would actually have been really inconvenient for me to conceive this month!

MultilingualMummy · 06/07/2026 10:19

I think I'm now 2dpo. What are you guys best tips for keeping yourself distracted in the TWW? I'm going to try to hold out until 13dpo to test.

Hermioninny · 06/07/2026 13:15

I’m not really in sync with anyone here, just entering my fertile window but struggling a bit this month. My cycles are on the shorter side, 26 days last cycle. I’m on cycle day 10, beginning to get EWCM but it’s still tinged with old blood from my period. Need to start DTD but I’m thoroughly not in the mood 😩 Anyone got any advice? DH and I work opposite shifts for half the week and I have my 4 and 2 yo with me all day 4 days a week when I’m not at work, it’s not always easy to find time to ourselves to get in the mood.
