Should I keep siblings apart after one child has a sickness bug?

Ugh DD1 was very violently sick a few times yesterday between 5-9pm. Slept fine and today seems right as rain thank goodness!

Now just sitting waiting for it to claim its next victim…to what extent is it sensible to keep her away from DD2? They’re 3 and 1 and I don’t know if it’s worth trying to create some distance between them or whether it’s pointless? Does one always catch it off the other?

No. It's pointless. And a bit cruel. And hard work for you.

P.S I don't always find the other gets it if one has...sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

This is exactly it - we will have a nicer day if I just take the risk and let them play 😂

The other one won't catch it from simply being around her, that's not how it spreads. She'll catch it if the sick one is actively sick near her, or if she touches something in the house with virus particles on it and then puts her hands in her mouth without washing them.
