Possible foot fracture?

Dd is 9 & hurt her foot landing awkwardly on a trampoline on Friday. X-ray yesterday was a maybe for a fracture, but it's in a less common place. She's wearing a walking boot, & has a fracture clinic appt in two weeks time. Still a lot of swelling, and now bruising started coming up around it although she is weight bearing now, but not doing a lot of walking & complaining it hurts a lot, which is unlike her, as usually pretty stoic with pain. Does it look like it might be a fracture? She does a lot of dance & other physical activities, so hoping she won't have long term issues with it.

Well it's definitely a foot. You already know it might be fractured, and that's from an expert looking at a picture of the actual bones. Randoms on the internet aren't going to be able to help more than that 🤷

Barring the odd amazing Mumsnetter lucky enough to have Superman-style Xray eyes, none of us can tell you if she has a fracture.

I fell once and within a few minutes it had balloon and started showing bruising. I went to a &e and they said let's x ray to see which bone it broken. None! It was ligament damage.
Nevertheless it was 6 weeks I was on crutches for 6 weeks in a lot of pain and couldn't weight bare for 2 weeks and only for short times until 4 weeks.

Bruising, pain and struggling to weight bare tells you it is injured only an x-ray can tell you if it's fractured
