Animal related baby names

Thinking about baby number three and stressing that we accidentally did a theme with our first twos names 😂 first is Leo and second is Joey. Leo is always associated with lions and of course, Joey is a baby kangaroo. So looking for boy and girl names associated to animals, but not necessarily an animal name. It’s be good to be modern like Leo and Joey but not too ‘cool’ like bear or fox as my husband just won’t agree! Please help! Looking for boy and girl names x

Surely, Joey as a name has nothing to do with the kangaroo. It has a different origin and meaning.
Just a random homophone.

Leo, Joey and Alex sound great 😊

@puddingandsun , the word joey for a baby kangaroo originated from the name Joe.

Fang.

This made me laugh more than it should.

But Jemima, I really love that name .

beeble347 · Yesterday 13:26

Robin would be a good one.

Finch

Phoenix

Delphine

Jonah (and the whale...?)

Noah ('s ark?)

Or ones with animal meanings?

Paloma (Dove)

I've always had a soft spot for Ursula, means little bear but it's not everyone's cup of tea.

I know you might be set on the idea as well but I don't think Leo and Joey are obviously animal themed, but if you pick a less subtle one for your third, that's when the theme might start showing up

Really hoping that the OP has a baby daughter and calls her Godzilla.

"These are our sons Leo and Joey and this is our daughter Godzilla"...it's got a real flow.
