AIBU to feel sorry for Harper? If BB has an issue with his parents it shouldn’t mean that he also stops talking to his siblings. It’s equally as sad if the parents did choreographed the letter/visit.

She was never going to have a chance at being anything other than a trough for her parents’ grifting snouts.

Should be with pals making up dance routines like a normal teen.

So many of the nepo kids are turning professional so young now. North West is going on tour. Blue Ivy is on stage with her mum. Harper will have her skincare range soon, and she’ll be everywhere. But, it’s all they’ve ever known as well. Brooklyn is a lesson. Not to mention all of the showbiz kids who’ve succumbed to drugs, booze, MH issues… Some are even on Only Fans.

Blue Ivy is a bit scary - I’m not sure what to make of how they treat her/let her treat them. Will be interesting to see what happens with the younger kids

I have seen Blue Ivy dance to be fair and she has got a talent. I don't know what North West does? Her name is utterly ridiculous and I vaguely know who her parents are so not shocking.

Also - who is Harper selling this to? Teenage girls aren’t buying VB cosmetics and the target market aren’t thinking ‘ooh, a 14 year old has recommended it, must buy it now!’

I just googled North West. She is the most grown up 13 year old child I have ever seen. Holy hell.

Pink’s daughter is another but she does seem very talented to be fair.

Harper could have a talent underlying we don't know because all we see is her parading around in vb fashion and makeup. Shes not allowed just be herself.

Sparrow is a boy. It’s Harlow that’s her daughter. Her legal middle name is Kate (Harlow Winter Kate) but she was called Kate always by everyone.

Same with Cruz. I didn't even know the name of his band so just googled it and they're called Cruz Beckham and The Breakers. Obviously they couldn't just call themselves The Breakers because people might not know there's a Beckham kid involved 😂.

But who is willingly paying out money to go and watch him perform?!

That Hollywood Walk of Fame star will have been bought and paid for by Beckham - it’s an honour up for sale and in keeping with their priorities and image management.

The tween / teen skincare market is absolutely massive. Gone are the days of Body Shop soaps! There’s a tribe known as Sephora Kids & the mums are spending serious money on (unsuitable) beauty products. Harper’s range will be nothing to do with VB (but the links to manufacturers, marketing etc are there). However, Harper does do social media using her mum’s products, so there will be Beckham tie-in, though her brand has it’s own name (but might be By Harper Beckham)

Huge target audience. I was reading about a Hollywood tween (now teen) who launched her own skincare range (very wealthy showbiz parents) as she, um, wanted one! She’s a pal of Blue Ivy (which they mentioned of course!). Harper just needs some celeb besties now (her real friends can’t be shown, remember the Stella McCartney row?). In fact, I don’t know why the lads don’t have a bigger circle than their girlfriends. Dave is a big mover on the London social scene, VB not so much… But she does have a few key friendships (Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria, Tans Ramsay)

Blue Ivy is a mediocre dancer at best, it was mortifying that Beyoncé kept dragging her out on stage. And both of them have ridiculous names.

I have a teen daughter so I am very aware sadly!

the products she is being used to sell in the article I linked are all from VB - my dd wouldn’t touch that - first because of the expense (though she does save up for some things I find eyebrow raising) but secondly because the Beckham brand is ‘old’ and it doesn’t appeal to that age group

so I find it a weird way to get her started in the make up biz. Would have made more sense for VB to do a teen collab with her.

That’s a good point, about the family brand. Lots of the social media around Cruz’s music involved his granny being at the gig, etc… I’m sure his band mates were pissed off (even if they are session musicians getting a payday!) It’s always “we love you so much, kisses”

The damage of Cosmeticorexia is now becoming well known and with the SM bans for children coming into place thankfully this vile market is going to be seriously impacted. I’d suggest Harper’s “business” is dead before it has even started. Not a nice look for the Beckham brand- fleecing and damaging young children.

Harper is 14 - my dd is a little older and started with make up a year or so ago but has commented on young girls raiding Sephora and doesn’t shop there anymore. The targeting of such young girls is deeply disturbing and I think 13/14 is the time it should naturally start (I remember in the 80s my sister and her friends with the ‘bold’ looks🤣) but the number of products they try and push on the kids these days is crazy

I agree that they’ve missed the boat here - they are trying to convince people they don’t exploit their children by exploiting other people’s children 🤔

I was reading this thread last night when the education part came up

I'm dyslexic and have a narcissist mother/enabling father (she's ruined every relationship I've ever had with men,bar dp by meddling and shitstirring)

My mother thought education was a waste of time and somewhere to dump us through the day

She wouldn't have dreamed of backing up the teachers if we misbehaved (well,she'd have come down on me like a ton of bricks as the scapegoat but her precious golden child boys could do no wrong)

My father valued education and tried to teach us himself but was batted down from all angles by her

I left school with no gcses and just thought I was thick

Grew up,had dc and decided I wanted to learn a trade and went back to collage

She went mental (I was in my 30's by this point) and suddenly found i wasn't thick-i started passing exams so she started telling lies like I only passed because I was handing bjs out to the tutors and cheating

I passed the course,which set her off on another narc rant

I was nc by this point so she cut me off from everyone I loved and turned them against me

She uses guilt,money,blackmail and fear of being the next scapegoat to control the rest of them-they are so caught up in the web shes span,they can't break free and she unleashes the flying monkeys on a regular basis (only a few weeks ago,my brother was full of 'i miss you!' we both know he doesn't,he just wants to report back to headquarters)

The other sons girlfriends will be 'safe' unless they move a toenail out of line and then they'll be out-they look like V which sounds weird but all 3 of my brothers have married women who look/behave like my mother

This seems to be what's happening here-thankfully brooklyn has untangled himself but it's a painful experience

You lose everyone dear to you and if you dare to make bonds with anyone else,they ruin that too until you meet someone who doesn't put up with their crap (in his case it's nicola and mine is dp and his family)

I feel for harper-she will be missing her brother dearly,cannot understand what is happening within her own family,uneducated and cannot break free

I hope she manages it one day-the boys are in too deep and will toe the line
