A closer look to the stitching on the mattress
Is the Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress good value for money?
At £849 for the king-size model at the time of testing, Andy initially considered the Origin Hybrid Pro a significant investment.
He said: "At £849 for the king-size model, the Origin Hybrid Pro initially felt like a significant investment, particularly as it costs considerably more than our previous mattress."
That’s fair. A mattress is one of those purchases that can be easy to put off because there is always something more urgent to pay for. School shoes. Car insurance. The dog doing something financially inconvenient at the vet.
But after testing, Andy felt the mattress justified its price: "Having used it, I think it offers excellent value. The improvements in comfort, support and temperature regulation have been immediately noticeable, and the overall build quality gives it a premium feel."
He added: "The strongest endorsement I can give is that we would happily pay full price to buy it again in the future."
That’s useful feedback because free-to-test products can skew enthusiasm. The real test is whether someone would spend their own money on it. Andy says he would.
Origin’s live product page currently shows the Hybrid Pro from £374 in the sale for a single, with a listed total value of £570, and £652 for a king, with a listed total value of £848. These offers include free pillows and are presented as limited-time savings, so check the final checkout price carefully before publishing or buying.
Who is the Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress best for?
Andy felt the Origin Hybrid Pro would suit a wide range of sleepers. He said: "I think the Origin Hybrid Pro would suit a wide range of sleepers."
Based on his test, it’s especially well suited to couples, hot sleepers and anyone replacing an older mattress that has started to sag, lump or retain heat.
Andy said: "I’d particularly recommend it for couples. The motion isolation means movement from one partner is much less noticeable, and if your bedroom tends to get warm, the cooling performance is a genuine benefit."
It’s also a good option if you want a mattress that feels supportive but not brutally firm. Andy moved from a firm mattress and found the Origin Hybrid Pro more supportive in practice, despite its more cushioned feel.
